There are so many ways that individual young people, schools, youth groups, larger NGOs working with youth can become involved with Peace Child:

  • Develop a Be the Change! Action Project – apply for one of our $1,000 grants
  • Become a Be the Change Challenge Ambassador – become an effective peer-to-peer teacher of sustainable lifestyles
  • Train BTCC Ambassadors – send out posses of them to transform your community
  • Do a training programme or an environmental restoration project
  • Raise funds for BTC projects devised by youth in very disadvantaged areas: Adopt them!
  • Volunteer for Peace Child India working with marginalised children in Bangalore
  • Become a White House intern! Come to the Peace Child Headquarters for a year of fun, hard work and amazing responsibility

If you want a formal affiliation, there are three levels of affiliation that your organisation can apply to PCI for:

1. Affiliates

The benefits and responsibilities for individuals and groups in becoming affiliates of PCI are:

Benefits:
  • Receive the monthly e-bulletin and first news of all new Peace Child projects and opportunities
  • Free access to all Peace Child teaching materials and the right to translate them into your native language
  • Advisory capacity on all Peace Child publications and projects
  • Preferential status for applications to, and/or workshop & exhibition proposals for each World Youth Congress
Responsibilities:
  • You need a formal request to Peace Child giving proof of what you are doing and receive authorization from PCI before you can use the name and the logo

2. Partners

The Benefits and Responsibilities for Groups in becoming National or International PCI Partners are the same as for Affiliates plus the following:

Benefits:
  • Use the logo and name of PCI in their materials ALWAYS with the legend "Working in partnership with Peace Child International"
  • Link from the Partner Pages to their own Website
  • Guaranteed two places at each World Youth Congress
  • Use PCI's consultative status at the UN for access and accreditation at UN meetings
  • Receive interns or gap year volunteers recruited and trained by PCI for specific projects or periods of time
Responsibilities:
  • Partners must identify one person to be the main contact for PCI
  • Partners must undertake or promote one of PCI's Education Initiatives
  • Recruit, check out and submit at least 2 Be the Change! Project Applications each year

3. National Representatives & Field Offices

The Benefits and Responsibilities for Groups in becoming National Representatives or PCI Field Offices are the same as for National/International Partners plus the following:

Benefits:
  • National Representatives have the exclusive right to call themselves: "Peace Child country ??-name“ and raise funds by producing and selling PCI merchandise
  • They may also establish a membership scheme to raise funds using PCI's name and logo
  • They may receive and charge for interns or gap year volunteers recruited and trained by PCI
  • Field Offices have all of the above benefits + if funding is available, monthly stipends from PCI HQ
Responsibilities:
  • Partners must recruit, check out and submit at least 5 Be the Change! Project Applications each year
  • Appoint a National Director to liase directly with PCI HQ
  • Maintain regular communication (at least once a month) with PCI HQ
